What FindGlo is

FindGlo finds affordable alternatives — "dupes" — to premium beauty products by comparing what is actually in them. A $9 moisturizer and a $68 one are only comparable if their ingredient lists say so, and that comparison is what this site does: we analyze the full INCI list of both products, position by position, and show you the overlap, the differences, and how confident the match really is.

FindGlo is independently owned and operated by Tara Shamaei. We are not owned by, affiliated with, or endorsed by any beauty brand or retailer, and no brand can pay to appear — or to rank higher — in our results.

How the matching works

• Full-list comparison, not marketing claims. Every match starts from the products' complete INCI ingredient lists. Ingredients early in a list (where concentration is highest) count for more than ingredients at the end, and shared key actives count for more than shared fillers.
• Evidence strength is shown, not hidden. When we only hold a partial ingredient record for a product, the match says so. We would rather show you a smaller number of honest matches than a page of confident-looking guesses.
• Format and use matter. A face serum is not a dupe for a body wash even when the actives overlap; the matcher checks product format, leave-on vs. rinse-off, and face vs. body before it ever scores a pair.
• Prices sort lowest-first. Always. Commission rates are never an input to matching, ranking, or price order — that rule is written into the code, and it is the promise the whole site is built on.

Where our data comes from

Product data and images come from Open Beauty Facts (an open, collaborative database, used under the Open Database License), from retailers' own product listings, and from manufacturer ingredient declarations. Each product page shows where its ingredient record came from and when it was captured, and we track reformulations — when a brand changes a formula, the page says so rather than quietly comparing against an old list.

How we make money

Some outbound links to retailers are affiliate links: if you buy through one, the retailer pays us a small commission at no extra cost to you. That is the site's revenue, and we keep it honest with three rules:

• Commission never affects which products match, how they rank, or which price shows first.
• Monetized links are marked as sponsored, and this disclosure appears in the footer of every page.
• If the cheapest place to buy something pays us nothing, it still shows first.

Corrections and contact

Ingredient data changes, and sometimes we get things wrong. If you spot an outdated formula, a bad match, or anything else that needs fixing, tell us — corrections make the whole site better.
