Shares shea butter, glycerin and dimethicone as emollients but is built around niacinamide instead of Aveeno's oat complex, so the hero soothing actives don't match.

Shares glycerin, cetyl alcohol, shea butter and a touch of oat kernel oil, but Aveeno's oat flour/extract and petrolatum-dimethicone occlusive base are missing in favor of a plant-oil cocktail.

Shares dimethicone, glycerin and cetyl alcohol as base moisturizing agents, but has no oat complex, no shea butter, and relies on silicones/panthenol instead of Aveeno's petrolatum-oat-shea system.

Both have glycerin, cetyl alcohol and dimethicone but CeraVe is built around a ceramide complex while Aveeno relies on oat and shea butter - the actual functional actives don't overlap.
