Shares paraffin and mineral oil (paraffinum liquidum) but is missing the cetearyl alcohol and steareth-2 that give the source its emulsified lotion texture, making this more of a straight vaseline-type product.

This is a baby diaper cream with petrolatum and stearyl alcohol instead of the source's mineral oil, paraffin and steareth-2 blend, so the occlusive feel is similar but the exact emollient system differs.

Shares mineral oil and petrolatum as minor players, but La Mer is built around algae extract, waxes, oils and a long luxury actives list totally absent from the simple Puffs formula.

Only mineral oil and cetearyl alcohol overlap in a sea of very different actives (hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, shea butter, glycerin) that define this as a modern hydrating cream, not a match for the simple occlusive Puffs lotion.
